Best NFL Offensive Tackles of the 2018-2019 Season

When you need somebody to make sure your upright, and not down for the count you a monster guarding your path. These tackles live up to the hype.
The Top Ten
1 Tyron Smith

''Back and groin injuries forced him to miss three games last season and hindered his performance in several others. Should re-solidify himself as the NFL's top blind-side protector if healthy.'' Seeing that Collins, Frederick, and even Zack Martin all got banged up already in the pre-season Tyron is gonna go out there to show why he is one of if not the best tackle in today's game.

2 Lane Johnson David Lane Johnson is an American football offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League.

''With multiple suspensions for PED violations now in his past, Johnson has re-established himself as the league's best right tackle. Utilizes what is arguably the best kick-step in football.'' Quite a rags to riches story for Lane Johnson last season from fighting through suspensions to finally being on the field with no trouble looking like an all pro lineman the Eagles were looking all along.

3 Trent Williams Trent Williams is an American football offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League.

''One of the injured starters who forced Washington to use a staggering 36 different O-line combinations in 2017. Williams will be seeking his first 16-game season as a starter since 2013.'' Trent has been through brutal coverage all around that offensive line, and you could argue for him to be #1 based on how well he reads the Redskins covering system better than most other teammates around him.

4 Andrew Whitworth Andrew James Whitworth is an American football offensive tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League.

''Provided exactly what the Rams had hoped after signing him away from Cincinnati with a three-year, $33.8 million deal. Shows no signs of slippage at age 36.''

5 Joe Staley Joe Staley is an American football offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League.

''Must be doing something right to receive a pay raise even though he already was under contract for two more seasons.''

6 David Bakhtiari

Dismantles opposing rushers before the ends of games... feared across the land

''The ninth tackle drafted in 2013 has developed into the best of his class and earned his first Pro Bowl berth in 2017.''

Vastly underrated, he’s one of the better left tackles in the NFL currently.

7 Terron Armstead

''The 2017 Saints were 3-3 in games he missed because of injuries and 8-2 in those he played. That's no accident.'' Pretty underrated, and that statistic does prove a good point though Armstead when he was out Brees was in trouble early on when he was absence.

8 Taylor Lewan

"I am here to take over this league and make sure my presence is known. He reduced his penalty count from 12 in 2016 to six in 2017, but he will continue to play with a nasty streak.''

9 Duane Brown

Seattle's Offensive line is atrocious getting a guy like Brown was huge since he had enough of Houston for some reason, and thus somebody need to make the move. Russ only has the left side to roll out to otherwise everywhere else on that line his road kill.

10 Jake Matthews Jacob "Jake" Matthews is an American football offensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League.

Since being drafted he was a big upgrade to the previous tackle Sam Baker who was injured prone at that point. Meanwhile Matthews has been on the field improving Matt Ryan's protecting level now than before.

Matthews just got that large extension so he can stay in Atlanta for a few more years. The Falcons are set with him.
