Top Ten Most Pointless Mario Kart Characters of All Time
Hey guys, I will not be counting characters that are seen regularly in the top ten. (As much as I hate Daisy and Waluigi). Some of you might hate Funky Kong or Toadette, but I don't so they didn't make the top ten. Feel free to write down who you do hate in the contenders area. You all know who my number one is. Pink Gold Peach is a character who debuts in Mario Kart 8, where she appears as an unlockable playable character. Pink Gold Peach is really pointless. All she is is a gold version of peach. Yeah, not that interesting.
It’s the worst ever, and one of my friends is coming up with pink gold peach is the best! She is the worst! To be honest, I rather have donkey king junior back rather than pink gold peach

Honey Queen (better known in Super Mario Galaxy as Queen Bee) is the queen of all the honeybees who is a very large bee and always talks nosism. She appears in both of the Super Mario Galaxy games, where she rules over all the honeybees in three different galaxies, and in Mario Kart 7 where she appears as a heavyweight unlockable driver. Yup. This character was in a Mario Kart game. Mario Kart 7. The only significant thing the she did in Mario Galaxy was let Mario...uh...well you can search her up. So naturally she's a perfect candidate to be playable, RIGHT? Never mind that she isn't important in any way. Never mind that it wouldn't make sense for her to suddenly be small enough to fit into a kart! Never mind that no one on Earth cares about this character's existence. Never mind that there are so many cooler characters from Mario Galaxy ALONE that could be playable (Lubba, Whittles, Gearmos, etc.) Her royal waste of space prevented characters like Bowser Jr, Diddy Kong, and Waluigi from getting a spot on the roster.
I feel so sorry for Waluigi because this fat blob of crap replaced him in MK7. She is annoying when she passes me, and even waluigi would be better than this!
When I play as Rosalina in MK7, I always have to race against this Fat hoe...Ugh
Honey Queen is the most retarded MK character ever. She literally took the place of Waluigi in MK7
Garbage characters for the win! Tanooki Mario is a perfect example of a DLC "waste pick". Why did we need ANOTHER Mario? "Hey guys! We're lazy! Let's just take the leaf power up from the 3D games and throw it in here? FANTASTIC! " At least it's kinda cool how he can turn into a stone statue. But either way, I really can't stand that this took up a DLC space that could've went to someone else (cough cough Bowser Jr).
Metal Mario is a character that appears in both the Mario series and the Super Smash Bros, where he made his first appearance in the Nintendo 64 version. He's pretty similar to Mario when using a Metal Cap, but instead of being a transformation, Metal Mario is his own character. Ladies and gentle-mushrooms, we have hit clone territory! Brace yourselves buckle in, get ready for a turdfest! Ugh. Metal Mario. How come people hate Pink Gold Peach and then turn around and like Metal Mario? He's the root of all the garbage. His design is the same in Mario Kart 7 and 8...it's just Mario encased in a sheet of metal! Nothing more, nothing less! Any differences besides costume? Yes. Metal Mario is basically Bizarro Superman. That's IT! Look at how lazy this is! At least with the babies they look completely different! This is just a lazy reskin of Mario from SM64!
Great. A random SM64 power-up got in. Seriously, you could've added any of Bowser's other minions, or someone like Toadsworth, but no, Power-Up Mario gets in.

Now we all know that there are a few problems with the DLC for Mario Kart 8. What's the main problem? Most of the characters we get are garbage. Say hello to Cat Peach. All Nintendo did was take her from Super Mario 3D World and pasted her in here. Please raise your hand if you are one of the people that requested this to be in the game. I'm SO glad we got this furry mess instead of a character that was left out of Mario Kart 8 like Petey Piranha and Diddy Kong or maybe someone new like Boom Boom or Kamek. Thanks Nintendo! At least they gave us an extra female character.
There were a few problems with the DLC for Zelda. The only character you did get that was not a clone was link. Okay then back to the topic. Say aloha to Cat Peach. What’s the problem with her? I mean I am fine with the catsuits. But this, THIS! All Nintendo did was put the model in from Super Mario 3d world and put her in a kart. There’s nothing wrong with having a new female because it’s pretty rare we get them, but in Mario Kart 8 we just clones and this one was added. We already have about 7 peach characters racing around the track. This one added one more! Please Nintendo add in a new character like Pauline, Funky Kong, or Kamek. Just something new! Don’t pay $7 for her if you don’t want her.

Rosalina, known as Rosetta in Japan, is a major character in the Mario Franchise created by Nintendo. She first appeared in the 2007 Mario Game, Super Mario Galaxy for the Nintendo Wii and later returned for the game's sequel in 2010. Since then, she has been featured in many main-series Mario Games and many spinoffs. She has appeared as a playable character in Super Mario 3D World for the Nintendo Wii U in 2013 and is a playable character in the Mario Kart series and Mario Party series. She also has come into Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS as a part of the large character roster. You need to give me a reason as to why Rosalina sucks. Either you hate her just because you feel like it or you're a Daisy fan. She is one of my favorite characters to play as in Mario Kart so unless you give me a reason as to why you hate this character, I'm not going to agree with you.
She only got overused because of Mario Kart making her heavy Peach. No one even likes her to begin with.

Baby Rosalina is an infant version of the major character from the Mario Bros . Franchise, Rosalina . She first appeared in Mario Kart 8 as a playable character and is now one of 5 baby characters in the roster, alongside infant versions of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Princess Daisy . All 5 of the babies are horrible. Baby Rosalina is admittedly the cutest one though. That doesn't stop her from being horrible.

The baby character hype train ain't over yet folks! Welcome aboard, Baby Rosalina! Yay! Three cheers for crappy characters! Hip Hip...WHY! Why does this character exist? Thinking in the most general manner, I could see Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, and Baby Daisy all growing up at the same time. But Baby Rosalina? I'll never understand this one. This character was created simply for the sake of making Mario Kart 8's roster bigger. Thinking about it, Rosalina is technically Peach with her hair down and a teal dress. At least she had a role in Super Mario Galaxy's story. It's not like there was a demand to create a baby form of Rosalina either. At least with Toadette you have a female version of Toad. We could've gotten ANY other female Mario character instead of a second Rosalina. Does Nintendo have a machine that brings Baby characters to life? I got an idea! Why don't we have Baby Waluigi! Why put a baby charactter in a place of a unpopular character?
Great. My least favorite Mario Character got a clone. This was easily the biggest waste pick in Mario Kart Wii. Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, and Baby Peach existed in Yoshi's Island and Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, so they make sense. Baby Daisy was never a thing until Mario Kart Wii. It would've made more sense for her debut to be in Mario Kart: Double Dash. If Baby Peach was in it we would know that Baby Peach just needed a doubles partner. It would still be stupid, but it would be somewhat excusable. But since she's in Mario Kart Wii, she has no reason to exist. All she does is take up a lightweight spot.
Isabelle is a character from the "Animal Crossing" series. She first appeared in "Animal Crossing: New Leaf". In the game, she assists the player with their duties as mayor. As a dog, Isabelle is a friendly and helpful companion to the player throughout their mayoral journey.
Petey Piranha is a large mutant of the Piranha Plant in the Super Mario franchise and debuted in Super Mario Sunshine. Since then, he has been a recurring boss in games such as New Super Mario Bros. and has also made appearances in sports and spin-off games.
Oh look! It's the guy who saved the video game industry! He tried to kill James Rolfe one time, and he even has his own NES game! Well...two! R.O.B. is a very interesting character and we should all praise him like a god for sneaking Nintendo onto toy shelves during the video game crash of 1983! You heard that right, the NES was marketed as a toy to get into stores at first because stores wouldn't take "video games" from the crash! You sly dogs! Anyway history lesson over, I really don't understand his purpose here. I think it's weird that non-Mario Characters are coming into Mario Kart. I'm okay with Link and Isabelle and stuff like that because it is DLC. R.O.B. isn't necessarily a bad character, he's just way too out there.

Toadette is a character in the Mario series. She is a female Toad who first appeared in the Nintendo GameCube video game Mario Kart: Double Dash. At least she isn't a clone or variation of an already existing character like the babies, Metal Mario, Gold Mario, PGP, and Dry Bowser.

Wigglers are a species of caterpillar in the Mario franchise. They have a segmented body and comically large nose and are yellow slowly moving when happy, but turn red and run angrily very quickly if they get jumped on "WHAT? WIGGLER? I LIKE HIM A LOT! DISLIKE COMMENT! " I hear you all screaming. I think it's interesting we get him as a playable character. We've seen Wiggler as vehicles and now he's playable...hmm...weird. What exactly does Wiggler have? Arms or legs? Normally he wears shoes. Now he wears gloves...maybe Wiggler is the scariest Mario character...

She is usually the character who needs saved in most Mario Games, but also has appeared as a playable character in the Main-Series Mario Games, including Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Run, and even starred in her own game, Super Princess Peach for the Nintendo DS. She has appeared in many spinoff series, too, including Mario and Sonic Olympic Games, the Mario Kart series, the Mario Party series, Mario Sports Games, the Super Smash Bros. Series, and many more. Okay, without peach there wouldn’t be mario. And even though she is really annoying and lazy for getting kidnapped ALL THE TIME, she is not pointless

Lakitu, known in Japan as Jugem, is a fictional flying character in the Mario franchise. Created by Shigeru Miyamoto, it first appeared in the Nintendo Entertainment System video game Super Mario Bros., where it dropped enemies called Spinies on the stage. So Lakitu...why the heck is he driving? That doesn't even make sense to me! In every Mario Kart title, Lakitu was the guy who started the race and fished players from pits and holes. Yes, people have told me the shell color is different. I know that Lakitu is a species and there can be multiple versions of him, but it feels strange when Lakitu saves Lakitu. It's like a paradox! Koopas and Paratroopas have been playable as well, but they don't have more significance in Mario Kart. Call me picky, because I am.
Wendy O. Koopa is a female villain in the Super Mario Bros. franchise. She is the only female member of the Koopalings and is usually found assisting Bowser on his wicked plans with the rest of the Koopalings. She first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3 in 1988 and since then has been a reappearing foe in the Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. series. She has also appeared as a villain in the Paper Mario series and similar games. She is a playable character in the Mario Kart franchise and other spin-off series and can be played as an alternate skin to Bowser Jr. in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS and its sequel Ultimate for Switch. Shut up about Wendy. I like her. Wendy haters just gotta know her more instead of the dumb T.V. show
