Best WWE SummerSlam 2022 Matches

The 2022 edition of SummerSlam, the "Greatest Party of the Summer", took place at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, hosting the show's 35th annual event. This show ended multiple rivalries, continued many others and saw the return of multiple WWE Superstars. Let's see which matches were the best of the night and rank them.
The Top Ten
1 Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar (Last Man Standing - Undisputed WWE Universal Championship) Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar (Last Man Standing - Undisputed WWE Universal Championship)

A lot of fans didn't want to see these two fight again, but they provided the most entertaining match of the night proving why they are in the main event spot. Brock Lesnar made his entrance in a tractor of all things. As soon as the match started, there was no keeping these two off each other and they made sure to use everything around them to beat each other up. Later in the match, Lesnar used the tractor to lift up one side of the ring to send Reigns tumbling out of it onto the floor. The Usos then came out to attack The Beast, but he easily took out both of them before he hit Heyman with an F-5 through the announce table (who would of thought Heyman would have taken an F-5!). Theory also made an appearance, possibly to attempt to cash in his Money in the Bank contract, but was taken out by Lesnar immediately. To end the match, Reigns and the Usos used everything they could find around the ring to burry Brock Lesnar in a pile of debris to ensure he would be down for the 10 count. ...more

2 Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch (Raw Women's Championship) Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch (Raw Women's Championship)

The Raw Women's Championship match opened the show with a bang, concluding the amazing feud these two women have had all year long ever since last year's SummerSlam when Becky Lynch returned and beat Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women's championship. This time however, the EST reigned supreme over her nemesis, retaining the title unlike their first encounter and solidifying her position at the top of the women's division further. When it comes to in-ring performance, this match is easily the best of the night. After the match ended, Bayley made her return, bringing two fresh faces with her, resulting in a standoff between these three and the two women who had just battled each other.

3 The Miz vs Logan Paul The Miz vs Logan Paul

This was Logan Paul's first singles match in WWE ever since his official signing to the company. This was a very good match, which is good as fans are usually skeptical of celebrity matches, but Logan Paul proved his belongs in a WWE ring in this epic performance against The Miz which even saw Paul performing a frog splash from the ring onto Miz who was laying on the announcers' desk. And to cap it all off, Paul used Miz's own finishing move, the Skull Crushing Finally, to end the match.

4 The Usos vs Street Profits (Undisputed Tag Titles) The Usos vs Street Profits (Undisputed Tag Titles)

The two teams faced off once more, but this time with Jeff Jarrett as guest referee to ensure there would be no issues like their last few encounters. The match started with the Usos isolating Angelo Dawkins, the latter of which eventually managed to tag in his partner Montez Ford, turning the match into an intense match. The two teams did a lot of fun things. The Usos were able to take out Ford by throwing him into the crowd, and then they finished off Dawkins with their finisher for the win.

5 The Mysterios vs The Judgment Day The Mysterios vs The Judgment Day

Rey and Dominik Mysterio took on Finn Balor and Damian Priest in a No Disqualification match with Rhea Ripley accompanying her partners of The Judgment Day. The match was alright with fun spots from all four men. The biggest part of the match was when Edge made his return to help the Mysterios against his former partners of The Judgment Day, after they kicked him out of the group.

6 Baron Corbin vs Pat McAfee Baron Corbin vs Pat McAfee

This was a very fun time, the fans always go nuts for Pat McAfee and his theme song. McAfee had a choir sing "Bum ass Corbin" over and over before his actual entrance music started up. The commentary between Michael Cole and Corey Graves was especially fun for the viewers at home and added a lot to the bout.

7 Liv Morgan vs Ronda Rousey (SmackDown Women's Championship) Liv Morgan vs Ronda Rousey (SmackDown Women's Championship)

Liv Morgan's first title defense against the women she beat for the title using her money in the bank contract opportunity. For most of the match, Morgan seemed to have a counter for everything Rousey did or managed to slip out of Rousey's submission moves, something which visibly frustrated the "Baddest Woman on the Planet". Morgan ended up pinning Rousey while tapping out at the same time, but since the ref only saw the pin, Morgan was declared the winner. Rousey lost it and attacked both Morgan and the ref. This was a short match so it doesn't rank very high on the list.

8 Bobby Lashley vs Theory (United States Championship) Bobby Lashley vs Theory (United States Championship)

The All Mighty and Mr. Money in the Bank had a fun match. Before the match could start however, Theory attacked Lashley with his MITB briefcase to get an advantage over the big man. The match then started and after taking a few hits, started to take over the match. Theory even attempted to escape as one point, but Lashley got him back in the ring and summited Theory with the Hurt Lock for the win. Not too different from any match these two could have had on RAW.
