Top 10 Best Athleta Clothing Items

Athleta, one of the premier brands in women's fitness apparel, offers so many great choices that it's difficult to pick the best.

I tried to narrow down the top items based on fit, use, and price.

1. Bettona Boyfriend Pant

   I live in these. They are comfortable, soft pants that are a definite step up from roaming the town in sweatpants. They are ideal for travel and outdoor/active wear. I like that I can take them from the market to the crag or trail. The drawstring bottom cinches these into capris, which is awesome.

2. Relay Capri

   Flattering fit. High-quality material is holding up and hasn't stretched with wear or wash, unlike many other brands. Perfect mid-calf length. Versatile - great for yoga, gym, running. It stays in place - doesn't slip down or ride up - which is important to me.

3. Bettona Straight Edition

   Slim-straight leg cut for a super trim fit. The comfortable fit makes them a perfect choice for travel, and the pockets are actually deep enough to use for carrying a phone. Love the Bettona for strolling around town and then dropping in on a yoga class without the hassle of changing. I love how cute boots slip over these, but they also look great with little flats.

4. Plié Tight

   Like all Athleta tights I've tried on, these are fitted and flattering. They are high-quality tights that offer good compression and haven't stretched out. I am in love with the cuffs, which can be scrunched or worn over the heels. It's such a unique touch.

5. Sweet Retreat Tee

   This is another style I love. I can see myself draping the hood over my head on the plane to sleep while we travel. I love drapey, cozy tees. I find myself wishing I had more like this to throw over tanks or bras around the house, and also when out and about. I think this would be perfect for pre/post-gym or yoga wear but also looks casual and effortlessly classy with jeans.

6. La Viva Pant

   These are a pair I've really eyed. People who love the Bettona pants say they chose to try these as a more "fashion-forward" pair. They look amazingly comfortable - people say they are soft, silky, and light - and great for everyday wear. The cinchable hem lets you customize the look and length, which is great for fashion but also seems awesome for biking. I think these would be perfect for travel adventures.

7. Zig Zag Relay Capri

   Since I love the regular Relay Capri, I'm sure these are a win. I like the statement capris, and the zigzag pattern is pretty fun for the gym or yoga.

8. Chaturanga Capri

   This is one I've wanted to try out. I'm sure it's high-quality like the Relay. It comes in funky colors and patterns. People seem to say the fit is flattering and comfortable, and it's a great summer capri.

9. Colorblock Swim Tight

   A friend bought these and is thrilled with them. She loves the fit and says they will be perfect for swimming and playing with the kids at the lake.

10. Dive In Medley Tankini

    This is the swimsuit that won me over on Athleta swimwear. The quality impressed me right away. I can tell it will last for a long time, unlike other suits that stretch out quickly. The fit is flattering and sporty. It's my go-to for lap swimming.
