Best Muscle Cars

81 1987 Mustang GT Convertible
82 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

This is my dream and has good reason to be. Its monster among muscle cars and no doubt has one the best looks of any American Muscle Car. It came packaged up usually with and LS-6 454 V8 pumping out 450 HP, Cross drilled, forged 5140 alloy steel crankshaft, forged steel magnafluxed rods with 7/16th inch bolts, TRW forged aluminum pistons with 11.25:1 comp ratio,.520in lift, 316 degree duration solid lifter cam, 3/8in pushrods, rectangle port, closed chambered heads with 2.19 inch intake and 1.88 inch exhaust valves, Holly 780 CFM 4v w/ low rise aluminum manifold. It's a beastly ride, and usually came in a Candy Apple Red paint job with Black hood stripes and chrome bumpers.

83 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
84 1964 Chevrolet Corvair

This was my first new car; it looked and drove like a sports car but you had to realize that it was a rear engine car like a porsche 911, which changed the handling dynamics dramatically

85 2010 GT-P
86 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302

It wasn't a brawny 500 horsepower drag machine like other muscle cars. It was built for SCCA Trans Am series, so it could out-handle any full size muscle car.

My dream ride. Ford said that the little 302 put out just 290 hp, but a dyno test result listed 390 horsepower. The Z/28 Camaro produced 290 as well, but that wasn't under-rated. The Boss 302 could out do a GTO or Charger easily, because it was light, good for drag racing, and when a corner showed up, bye bye big boys! The 1969 SCCA season may have been lost by Ford (due mostly to racing car unreliablity), but the virtually unchanged '70 model whooped Camaro's sorry behind the following year.

87 1973 Pontiac Grand Am

Very underrated car, and in black has the meanest looking front on a car you will ever see.

88 1978 Mustang II King Cobra

"all the sorority girls are just clambering over the plantain line" -peter griffin. Proving small cars are the best.

89 1970's Dodge Challenger SRT8
90 1969 Dodge Superbee 383

These cars came with so many different package. Air condition and many optionals. But the street racing was won by street tires no headers, no hemi, corba, judges, or complete racing packages. I owned a 1969 superbee 383 police special package. On any good condition day it would shut down any car. It clocked over 150mph several times. With proper tires it would make a bad day for any car. And the name doesn't mean nothing. The car couldn't pass state emission test in New Jersey. That was a outlaw. Do the research it was a sleeper. Why is the 383stoker a bad combination. Along with the ramcharge induction system.

91 1971-73 Boattail Riviera
92 1966 Ford Mustang

These were sweet. My dad had a 1968 with a 3.3 straight six

93 1968 Shelby Mustang Fastback

This is truly the best muscle car ever, hands down.My grandpa owned one. It was a monster!

94 2000 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R

Possibly the greatest Mustang that has ever been made into production. Who doesn't love a screaming 385 HP, 5.4 L V8 packed into a lightweight muscle car?
