Ironically, a lot of unpopular opinions shared on the internet tend to be popular opinions. It's not exclusive to TTT, although this site tends to have a concentrated number of them. Let's take a deep dive of the chaotically disorganized list "Top 10 Most Unpopular Opinions" and look at some of the opinions in which most or even all of us can agree with.
By the look of the site we can all agree with this one, especially that Elon Musk has taken over the site recently. There's no doubt that any mainstream social media site is bound to have toxicity, and twitter is a prime example of that.
Are seasons really unpopular when they're talked about often? Due to Christmas and New Years Eve which many people get excited for, it's not much of a popular opinion. Not to mention with climate change I feel more people would prefer winter or fall especially in the future.
Especially if you're young, you can agree with this one due to long holidays from school and the sunshine in general (if you're outdoorsy). There's a reason why some people claim summer is overrated so it has popularity around it.
Pop music is extremely diverse I mean there's a reason why Michael Jackson, Prince, among other artists tend to rise high in popularity. Exclusively unpopular in TTT, but popular for the rest, hence its name "pop".
Every major genre gets hate but if anything rap is the only one that I frequently see people refuse to acknowledge as music at all. Also potentially unpopular opinion "mumble rap" isn't a real subgenre just a term people throw as an attack similar to "butt rock".
Referring to modern or "mumble" rap this is popular. Other than that there are tons of underground music artists that are pretty good. This kind of argument pretty much goes the same on any music genre.
Personally this is one of the few "opinions" that I don't think should be unpopular. Otherwise there's a lot of men who are cat owners, and not many people aren't that concerned over some pet preference.
If the quality of the product is good and becomes popular, then it would be definitely nostalgic among a lot of people. There's a reason why Wii Sports Resort and Super Mario Galaxy are popular and still they stand the test of time.
Exclusively popular in TTT. If you have been in the site long enough the previous layout even used to show several hands forming the horn sign in the homepage.
If you look at the list "Top 10 worst years in history" it's pretty high on that list even though it shouldn't be placed right near the top 5. We had the US presidential election, shootings, celebrity deaths (Prince, David Bowie, etc.), Zika Virus, etc. a lot of these things tend to happen in practically in every year but 2016 seems to have those "bad" events more pronounced than other years in the 21st century - as dramatic it sounds. So the hate on 2016 definitely was popular until 2020 came.
While not as unpopular in other sites with an older demographic, TTT has a relatively young demographic so this is a popular opinion due to shock value.
Definitely not unpopular at all now especially after the invasion of Ukraine, which has killed thousands of people. And now, people are comparing Putin to Adolf Hitler.
