2 Jimmy Neutron James "Jimmy" Isaac Neutron is a fictional character and the main protagonist of the Jimmy Neutron franchise . He is most notably the main protagonist of the 2001 American 3D computer-animated comic science fiction film Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and the main protagonist of the American computer animated television series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius created by John A. Davis.

Well, Cartoon Network's Boy Genius made his debut as a balloon in 1998, so Nickelodeon's Boy Genius would make his debut as a balloon as well a few years later. In the same year Jimmy Neutron's movie first came out in, Jimmy Neutron would have his balloon debut in 2001.

3 Charlie Brown

A balloon based on the titular Charlie Brown from the Charlie Brown franchise. More specifically, Charlie Brown and the Allusive Football. This balloon would first make its debut in 2002.

4 Little Bill Little Bill is an American animated children's television series produced for Nick Jr. The stories are based on Bill Cosby's Little Bill book series, set in Philadelphia, and feature Bill Jr.

And now we have another balloon based on a Nick Jr. show. This balloon is based on the titular Little Bill from the show of the same name. Little Bill would also have the honor of being the first African-American character to appear in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It would first debut in 2002.

5 Spongebob Squarepants SpongeBob SquarePants is a fictional character and the titular character and protagonist of the American animated television series of the same name.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea and got his own parade balloon? SpongeBob SquarePants! His balloon would first make its debut in 2004.

6 Hello Kitty

A balloon based on the titular character of the Hello Kitty franchise. Its balloon would first make its debut in 2007.

7 Shrek Shrek is a fictional ogre and titular character of the Shrek franchise. He debuted in the 2001 animated movie of the same name. He is voiced by Mike Myers.

The first DreamWorks balloon to debut at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. And Shrek manages to get that honor. Shrek's balloon would first make its debut in 2007.
