Top Ten Things to Ask the LGBTQ+ Community
The Top Ten
-
How did you discover your sexuality?
Introspection for me. I always drew cats when I was little and I was under the impression that they were all female. Thinking most guys are disgusting, too. Well that turned when I hit puberty. Also, I crushed on both girls and guys. (Old-school bisexual here who is attracted to only males and females, though I love everyone else of all genders and sexualities like they're my immediate family.)
-
What activities do you engage in during Pride Month?
-
What is your identified gender and sexual orientation?
-
How did you realize your gender identity?
Bigender as I feel like I am both male and female without being intersex. In my book, gender is how you feel about your sex.
-
How do you handle encounters with homophobes, transphobes, biphobes, acephobes, etc.?
-
Did you experience any negative reactions when coming out?
I haven't really. My family, while being religious, is actually quite supportive. They seem conservative, but I realize they're actually centrists.
-
Who is your favorite character who represents the LGBTQ+ community?
-
Do you enjoy romance?
-
How often do you find yourself thinking about a crush you have?
-
Have you ever been on a date?
No, but I can see myself with a girl.
