Top 10 North & South American Soccer Nations

The Top Ten
1 Brazil Brazil, officially the Federative Republic of Brazil, is the largest country in both South America and Latin America. At 8.5 million square kilometers (3,300,000 sq mi) and with over 214 million people, Brazil is the world's fifth-largest country by area and the sixth most populous. Its capital is Brasília, more.

By far the best soccer nation in the world. Five time world champion and the only team to have qualified to all editions of the World Cup.

I really hate brazil, but to be honest they have the best soccer nation, really good 10/10

Brazil is the all time world cup winners

But they lost 7-1 against Germany.

2 Argentina Argentina, officially the Argentine Republic, is a country in the southern half of South America. Argentina covers an area of 2,780,400 km2 (1,073,500 sq mi), making it the second-largest country in South America after Brazil, the fourth-largest country in the Americas, and the eighth-largest country more.

Brazil sucks now it is very bad team and is overly confident it has a good past but in 2009 they were the worst thing

Argentina is better

3 Mexico Mexico, officially the United Mexican States, is a federal republic located in North America. The country is located between the U.S. and Central America, and is known for its Pacific and Gulf of Mexico beaches and its diverse landscape of mountains, deserts, and jungles.

#1 in CONCACAF in my opinion with US 2nd, Costa Rica 3rd, Jamaica 4th, and Honduras 5th although that order could easily change at any time. But Mexico will always be the best in North America for me

Third place should be Uruguay

Shouldn't Mexico be 4th

Mexico can give any time competition in soccer.

4 Uruguay

How is Uruguay below Mexico? Uruguay won 2 world cups like Argentina. Mexico did not win any. It should be either 2nd or 3rd place.

5 Chile Chile, officially the Republic of Chile, is a country in the western part of South America. It is the southernmost country in the world, and the closest to Antarctica; occupying a long and narrow strip of land between the Andes to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. Chile covers an area of 756,096 square kilometers (291,930 sq mi), with a population of 17.5 million as of 2017. It shares land borders with Peru to the north, Bolivia to the north-east, Argentina to the east, and the Drake Passage in the far south. Chile also controls the Pacific islands of Juan Fernández, Isla Salas y Gómez, Desventuradas, and Easter Island in Oceania. It also claims about 1,250,000 square kilometers more.

Chile beat Argentina two times in a row in the Copa America games. It being put behind Mexico is quite mind blowing. Chile should be somewhere near Argentina and Brazil. I feel they are underrated

Chile is far better than mexico with that 7-0 win over them and brazil sucks now its all about argentina and chile

Chile has become a powerhouse in South American futbol...always a force to be reckoned with. Plus if I had to live in any country in South America it’d definitely be Chile

6 Colombia Colombia, officially the Republic of Colombia, is a country situated in the northwest of South America, bordered to the northwest by Panama; to the east by Venezuela and Brazil; to the south by Ecuador and Peru; and it shares maritime limits with Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Haiti.

First off, ITS COLOMBIA.
Colombia has the confidence, the strength and the persistence to be
Number 1.

First of all its Colombia

7 United States The United States of America, or the U.S.A. for short, is a federal republic composed of 50 states, 48 of them are contiguous states. There are two other states, Alaska and Hawaii, which are north and south of the contiguous states, respectively. The United States declared its independence from the British Empire in 1776 with the Declaration of Independence. They won their independence in 1783 with the Treaty of Paris. Its capital, Washington D.C. (District of Columbia) is defined by imposing neoclassical monuments and buildings including the iconic ones that house the federal government's 3 branches: the Capitol, White House and Supreme Court. Though it has no official language, English and more.

I think it will be better than Mexico though but still both are pretty gods teams

The best if talking about Women
very well placed if talking about Men (Colombia deserves the 5th place more though)

Suck in rugby

8 Peru

We qualified for the 2018 Russia world series by beating New Zealand that is how much Peru has improved.

This team can surprise a lot of others, including Brazil.

9 Paraguay

My favorite sleeper soccer nation in South America...Roque Santa Cruz. Paraguay has birthed some really talented players over the years.

10 Ecuador Ecuador, officially the Republic of Ecuador, is a representative democratic republic in northwestern South America, bordered by Colombia on the north, Peru on the east and south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west.
The Contenders
11 Costa Rica

Costa Rica has put together some talented teams over the years...gave Brazil a run for their money in the 2002 World Cup although they ended up losing 4-2. Costa Rica is legit

Its 10 provinces are: Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.
