Top Ten Reasons for TheTopTens to Go Back to 100 Items Per Page
This is a protest list against how TheTopTens just made all lists 20 items per page.I'm actually used to the 20 items per page.
Especially when a list has over 1000 items.
Please bring it back admin!
I've tried looking at a list today, seeing the "next page" thing already after 20 items. I go to the next page and all of a sudden I'm on #101? When did that happen? I seriously hope this gets reverted back to the way it was, because it didn't make anyone's day better.
Some people might never find certain songs, or laugh at something hilarious.
It's so glitchy and weird! I don't get why either, I can scroll through 100 no-problem, but id imagine myself spending significantly longer to find an item I want!
I can't tell you how many times I have used this new thing, and have the next page say "101" WHEN IT IS ONLY AT THE 21ST ITEM!
Can't they just go back?
When you can't see all the items on the list, it seems like no one was on it enough.
True, there's plenty of other work this site has to do, changing the list item organization was probably not needed to be fixed.
It was perfectly fine the way it was.
I questioned it! This was their response:
"Moving to 20 items per page is an intentional change, it is not a "glitch". At this point we have no plans to revert to 100 items.
Moving to 20 items has a number of benefits including significantly reducing page load times which is very important to the large portion of our visitors who access the site via mobile devices."
THIS IS BULLCRAP! I told them that I believe in the old saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it", 'cause what ain't broke don't need to be fixed. I am SO GLAD to NOT be the only one who hates this. It was a really stupid idea. Why couldn't they just let us have longer remixes instead? LOTS OF PEOPLE want that! I know I do. Another idea I have is they should make different options for viewing the site list. Like if it you want to see which items were added first and in what order they were when they were added, or if you want to see what's been voted on the most.
