Top Ten Worst Things About Being the Eldest Child

The Top Ten
1 Getting blamed for everything

When my younger cousins does bad stuff like hit me with toys, blast the T.V., or taunt me, I tell them to stop, and my relatives tell me "don't do that, leave them alone, they're just kids, they don'y know any better, and then later my mom starts to tell me off harshly.

I hate being the oldest >:(

Happens to me every single day. I swear I'm so sick of it.

I can completely relate to this...

2 Having to help your younger siblings with homework

My sister doesn't have homework, but I do, and no one helps me with mine.

Luckily I don't have to do this. Her homework is harder than mine!

3 Being treated differently than your other siblings

This is SOOO true. My sister always bullies me by touching my private parts and saying rude words. But when I tell that to my parents they say "Okay you can handle it on your own" and when I try to ask my sister to stop it's the end of the world. And when I tease my sister she'll start screaming and my parent will start scolding me and telling her to ignore me when they hardly scold my sis!

My younger sister always gets the better treatment than me. For her high school graduation, she got money and a buffet. When I graduated from high school, I got NOTHING AT ALL. So unfair!

4 Having to be responsible for everything
5 Having to put up with your other siblings

When I want a lie in:
"Get up!"
When my friends come round they don't leave me alone with them.
Alone time:
*Calls my name*
Me: ugh!

6 Having to go to their friend's parties

No, but she has to go to my parties, which I don't mind.

Doesn't apply to me

7 You have to respect your younger siblings when they don't respect you

I always think „do I look like I care?" when I get told to respect my siblings.
Either way I will go complete rage mode if my siblings even dare to try to make it like a fascist dictatorship with them in charge.

My 19 year old sister says shut up to me: Mom and Dad doesn't care.
I say shut up to her (I'm 26): they tell me not to say that

8 Being expected to be a good role model

This is kinda hard sometimes... :P

9 If they loose something, you have to give them yours.
10 Everything is automatically your fault despite the fact that you are not even involved in the problem
The Contenders
11 Getting dethroned by your new sibling
12 Always being last
13 Doing chores

I'm 26, and my sister's 20. I have to do chores, and my sister does not have to.

14 Being servants to younger kids

My cousins used to make me do stuff for them instead of doing it themselves

15 Getting yelled at the most
16 The younger sibling always get the better treatment
17 Visiting relatives hardly acknowledge your existence
18 You will likely die first
19 Having to share everything you have

I had all the attention to myself for 6 years until my sister was born and I had to share MY ENTIRE LIFE with her...

20 Cleaning up after them
21 Your popularity declines

When I was little, I was the only kid (and the youngest) for 6 years and I was very popular with everyone. After my sister and cousins were born, that all changed forever. They all are now more popular than me :(

Why does this matter?

22 No one pays attention to you
23 Being bullied by younger siblings
24 Parents always defend the younger siblings
25 Your parents have high expectations for you

Had to have high, high hopes for a living...
